Until 1984, The Pine Tree Chapter of MOAA was the only chapter in the State. In November of 1984 The Southern Maine Chapter was formed and held its first meeting on February of 1985. In 2021, the Pine Tree Chapter ceased operations. The Southern Maine Chapter is currently the only Chapter in the State and serves all officers of the Uniformed Services regardless of location within the State of Maine.
